Passive Frac Monitoring Technology

Passive Frac Monitoring and interpretation has become widespread to observe ongoing changes in the rocks or events occur underground. Passive Frac Monitoring techniques has been providing insights on the efficiency of hydraulic fracture stimulation programs and fracture geometry by mapping the location of micro-earthquakes or seismicity caused by induced fractures in special patterns.

UIC’s Passive Frac Monitoring Technology has been used also as a reliable tool for locating sweet spots and natural fracture underground. In addition, same technology has been utilized for leak detection, cap rock integrity diagnostics, reservoir invasion mapping in water flood reservoirs, reservoir depletion and inter-well communication.

UIC’ Passive Frac Monitoring is precise and accurate can measure  low levels of pressure induced seismicity, thanks to our high-end geophones technology and advanced processing and analysis techniques.
